Parks in India are generally closed during the monsoon season, so check the dates for opening and closing of the park, before making any reservations.

A valid permit is necessary to enter the National Park and since only a limited number of vehicles are permitted daily, it is advised to book your safari well in advance. A valid I.D has to be carried inside the Park, which should be the same on which the booking was made. Any entry inside the Park with out a valid permit will attract a jail term. Even wait listed tourists are not permitted.

There are fixed timings for entry and exit from the Park. Also there are fixed routes inside the Park, which are allotted to the visitors at the time of the start of the safari. Visitors are permitted to enter and exit only through authorised gates.

Getting down the safari vehicle inside the Park is not permitted, however some Parks do have some designated places for visitors to disembark and use the washroom. It is not allowed to feed the animals and littering inside the Park has to be avoided.

Usually a small fee is charged for the camera, which is payable at the start of the safari. Use of camera flash is not permitted.

Only authorised vehicles usually Maruti Gipsey and canters are registered as safari vehicles and can be hired before the start of the safari. A registered guide has to accompany the visitor inside the Park.

Visitors should give the animals the right of way and not block their free movement  by stopping their vehicless in their path.

Visitors should always be respectful to the forest guards and obey their instructions at all times.
