– Established as Sawai Madhopur Game Sanctuary in 1955

– Declared tiger reserve in 1973

– National park in 1980

  • Project Tiger (2018-19): Rs 6.45 crore (partially released)
  • State govt (2018-19): Rs 33.5 crore from RTF
  • WWF: Rs 14.5 crore in 2017 (for 5 years)

Asst commissioner of forests: 5 posts, 3 occupied

Ranger: 12 posts, 8 occupied

Forest guard: 123 posts, 91 occupied
