NAINITAL: A carcass of a two-month-old elephant was recovered from Sarpudali range of Corbett Tiger Reserve (CTR). The post-mortem has been conducted to determine the cause of death of the calf and a final report is awaited.
The post-mortem has been conducted and we are yet to receive a report.” Corbett officials claimed that the calf may have been separated from the mother. They added that there were marks on the body of the calf but they are yet to ascertain if those were caused by other animals.
